In Memoriam Hno. John Johnston

Abstract

Como es costumbre en el Instituto, el Consejo General publica una Circular con ocasión del fallecimiento de un Superior General. El Hermano Álvaro Rodríguez Echeverría, Superior General, invitó al Hermano Gerard Rummery a redactar esta circular que les presentamos en nombre del Consejo General. El Hermano Gerard trabajó con el Hermano John durante muchos años como Director del CIL y como Consejero General en sus dos mandatos como Superior. Probablemente nadie mejor que el Hermano Gerard tendría una perspectiva mejor del Hermano John Johnston.

According to custom in the Institute, the General Council issues a Circular letter at the death of a superior General. Brother Álvaro Rodríguez Echeverría, Superior General, invited Brother Gerard Rummery to author this Circular that we present to you in the name of the General Council. Brother Gerard had worked with Brother John for many years as Director of CIL, and as a General Councilor for his two terms as Superior. Probably no one else would have the perspective that Brother Gerard has of Brother John Johnston.

Comme il est de coutume dans l’Institut, le Conseil Général publie une lettre à la mort d’un Supérieur Général. Le Frère Alvaro Rodriguez Echeverria, Supérieur Général, a invité le Frère Gerard Rummery à rédiger cette Circulaire que nous vous adressons au nom du Conseil Général. Le Frère Gerard a travaillé avec le Frère John pendant de nombreuses années comme Directeur du CIL, et comme Conseiller Général pendant ses deux mandats de Supérieur. Nul autre, probablement, n’aurait eu du Frère John Johnston une connaissance comparable à celle du Frère Gerard.
